Meet Dr. Marrero
Dr. Alex Marrero grew up in Southern California and served in the US Naval Submarine Corp as an electrician during the Vietnam conflict. Upon leaving the military, he attended Creighton University in Omaha and graduated with a BS in Chemistry. He continued his education and graduated from Boyne School of Dentistry at Creighton in 1982. He then accepted a General Practice Residency at OHSU and moved to Oregon. He graduated in 1983 and opened his private practice at this location in 1987. For 33 years, Dr. Marrero has been honored to serve the dental needs of his community.
Dr. Marrero is also very involved in supporting the dental community by serving as an officer in the Washington County Dental Society, and as a member of the Oregon Dental Association and American Dental Association. He has participated for years in charitable programs such as Give Kids A Smile and Donated Dental.
Dr. Marrero comes from a family of doctors and dentists. His father, Dr. Gilbert Marrero, is a retired orthopedic surgeon, his grandfather a dentist and his daughter, Dana is an Internal Medicine Doctor. She is currently practicing in North Carolina and he is very proud of her. Recently Dr. Marrero and Dana hiked in beautiful southern Utah and last year they went to Peru and climbed Machu Pichu.
Along with the hiking and spending time with his family at an annual reunion in Silverton Colorado, Dr. Marrero enjoys fishing, skiing, and the beauty of our great northwest.
"He did a great job repairing broken fillings. Great with pain management and has a relaxing demeanor. Thanks for the great work!"
