Meet Dr. Marrero
Dr. Marrero grew up in Southern California and served in the US Naval Submarine Corp as an electrician during the Vietnam conflict. Upon leaving the military, he attended Creighton University in Omaha and graduated with a BS in Chemistry. He continued his education and graduated from Boyne School of Dentistry at Creighton in 1982. He then accepted a General Practice Residency at OHSU and moved to Oregon. He graduated in 1983 and opened his private practice at this location in 1987. For 35 plus years, Dr Marrero has been honored to serve the dental needs of his community.
Dr. Marrero is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and is very involved in supporting the dental community. He is currently serving as an officer in the Washington County Dental Society, and is a member of the Oregon Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He has participated for years in charitable programs such as Give Kids A Smile and Donated Dental as well as the Senior Smile Program.
Dr. Marrero comes from a family of doctors and dentists. His father, Dr. Gilbert Marrero, is a retired orthopedic surgeon, his grandfather a dentist and his daughter, Dana is an Internal Medicine Doctor. She is currently practicing in North Carolina and he is very proud of her. Recently Dr. Marrero and Dana hiked in beautiful southern Utah and went to Peru where they hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu.
Along with the hiking and spending time with his family at an annual reunion in Silverton, Colorado, Dr. Marrero enjoys fishing, skiing, clam digging at Pacific Ocean beaches, and the beauty of our Great Northwest. |
